Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This policy explains the browser cookies and local storage MyFileNest uses, why they are used and how you can control optional categories. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.

Necessary storage

Necessary storage supports secure account sessions, authentication, fraud prevention and remembering your privacy choices. It may also support local tool state. These functions are needed to provide the feature you request and cannot be switched off through the consent panel, although you can remove them with your browser controls.

Local PDF recovery drafts

For PDFs of 12 MB or less, the editor may save one recovery draft in IndexedDB on your device. This is local site storage rather than a server upload. The draft may remain after closing the tab until it is recovered, replaced, cleared from the editor or removed through your browser's site-data settings.

Analytics

When you consent and analytics is configured, Google Analytics and MyFileNest's privacy-safe operational events may measure page views, device category and whether a tool starts, succeeds or fails. Analytics must not receive file names, document contents, PDF text, signatures, passwords or authentication tokens.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled and you consent, Google AdSense and its partners may place or read cookies and use web beacons or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and limit repeated ads. Google may receive your IP address and process device, approximate-location and interaction data under its own policies. Rejecting advertising storage does not block access to MyFileNest tools.

Consent and regional requirements

Optional analytics and advertising storage are denied by default in the site code until you make a choice. In regions where a certified consent platform is required for advertising, an approved platform must also be enabled before personalized advertising can be used.

How long storage remains

Session cookies expire when their configured session period ends or the session is revoked. Consent preferences remain until you change them or clear site data. Third-party analytics and advertising retention is controlled by the applicable provider settings and policies.

Changing your choices

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time to reject or allow optional categories. You can also delete cookies, IndexedDB and local storage from your browser's site settings. Removing necessary session storage may sign you out; removing editor storage deletes any recoverable local draft.
