Questions, answered plainly

No. The currently implemented conversion and PDF tools run in your browser. Your files stay on your device. Most selections disappear when you refresh or close the page; the PDF editor may keep one local recovery draft in IndexedDB for files up to 12 MB, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Image tools support JPG, PNG and WebP. PDF tools support standard, unencrypted PDF files. PDF page export produces JPG, PNG or WebP files.

Browser processing uses your device memory. A conservative limit keeps the experience stable on phones and modest laptops.

Yes. The local editor can replace detected text visually and export the replacement as selectable PDF text. Complex embedded fonts, rotated text and scanned pages may require a native editor or OCR.

No. MyFileNest reports the actual output size. PDFs that are already optimized or dominated by compressed images may not shrink meaningfully.

Encrypted PDFs are rejected with a clear message. Password removal is not part of this browser release.
