Check your result before using it
Use source images with matching dimensions and alignment when evaluating a processing change. A shift of a few pixels can look like a quality difference even when the images contain the same detail. Compare at full size as well as normal viewing size, especially around text and fine edges. A visual comparison is useful for inspection but does not prove pixel equality or establish which image is authentic.
